Department of child safety (DCS) Community Gift Card Give Back

Varied Culture has partnered with DCS for a gift card give back. After contacting DCS to see how the community can help the children in care, we were told one of the main needs are small increment gift cards to fast food restaurants (i.e. Taco Bell, McDonalds, Burger King, Sonic, In N Out Burger, Del Taco, and Little Caesars). These cards will be used for children going through the removal process, before going to a new foster home. Small increments ($10-$15) gift cards are what is being requested, these will be used as a one-time meal purchase(s) for a hungry child that is either being removed from their home or moved to a new foster home. These cards will NOT be used for DCS employees, foster parents, nor biological parents, these cards will ONLY be used for children in care of the state. Please consider a small gift card donation and let’s work together as a community to help in any way we can. No monetary gifts can be accepted at this time. You can either mail it or we can also pick up donations from anyone local.
